Asphalt Green Success Story: Transforming Community Health through Salesforce with High Tide

Nonprofit Success Story of Asphalt Green Using Salesforce Nonprofit

Background

Asphalt Green, a nonprofit organization based in Manhattan, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being, and building community through sports, fitness, and play. With diverse recreational programs, fitness centers, competitive sports teams, camps, and community events, Asphalt Green aims to make sports, fitness, and play accessible to everyone.

Their mission is fulfilled through various initiatives, ranging from camps to high-level competitive sports teams, including their notable swimming and soccer teams.

The Challenge

In May 2022, Asphalt Green decided to migrate to Salesforce. However, during this crucial transition, their director of technology stepped away, creating a significant gap in technical leadership. This situation demanded an immediate and effective solution to ensure the smooth continuation of their operations.

How Asphalt Green Uses Salesforce to Drive it's nonprofit goals

The High Tide Solution

Enter Karly from High Tide, a dedicated Salesforce leader known for her expertise in streamlining processes. Karly took on a leadership role, guiding Asphalt Green through the Salesforce implementation. Her role was pivotal in managing bi-weekly meetings and project stand-ups, tracking project tasks, mitigating issues, and ensuring that costs and budgets were on track.

We got through the implementation and knew we weren’t letting Karly go. She was a leader and helped with so many things at High Tide, such as bi-weekly meetings, project stand-ups, tracking project tasks, mitigating issues, and keeping cost and budget on track. It was so helpful to have someone to think about these things and expose the work we are doing to the stakeholders.

Impact and Benefits

Working with High Tide has significantly benefited Asphalt Green in several ways:

Four months saved in administrative time:

"In any of our spaces, such as a soccer field, across the summer/fall period, we can have up to 10,000 bookings, as different parts of a field may be used for a variety of programs. High Tide helped us build a cloning tool essential for managing over one hundred different programs at various times.

This tool has saved us four months of manual work per year, reducing it to just two weeks. This has freed up our Salesforce team to focus on new initiatives," says Stefan.

Enhanced Operations:

Brittany from Asphalt Green added,

"Alia created a solution to deliver a funding request model, saving people $60 in application fees for summer day camp by allowing us to bypass traditional fee structures.

This move has significantly increased our insight as we bring people into Salesforce, providing a clearer view of our operations and impact."

Optimized Revenue Streams:

"High Tide has been instrumental in optimizing this process. We've seen significant improvements with Traction Rec, which handles most of our revenue streams, including housing our rentals, private lessons, and programs.

We have a summer/fall catalogue that launches in May and a winter/spring catalogue that goes up in late November, with up to a thousand programs listed," shares Brittany.

Current and Future Projects

Thanks to generous funding, Asphalt Green is currently working on one of the most exciting projects: rolling out free swimming lessons for all second graders across New York City. This initiative ensures kids are swim-safe and have the best swimming skills.

At the heart of this initiative is an exploration of how Salesforce can power the project; we hope it will help ensure that children’s caregivers and families can easily register and stay in touch with our team via technology,” says Brittany. “We believe technology can be used in powerful ways, and we want to ensure everyone has the same level of access to our services. We love discussing these possibilities with the High Tide team!
